Eurocontrol
2022-2023
Eurocontrol is a pan-European, civil-military organisation dedicated to supporting European aviation.
Goal: Website redesign with the goal of carbon footprint reductuion on the landing page per user visit of Eurocontrol.int by improving user experience.
My role: UI Design, Interviews, research about sustainable web design.
A notable share of the Internet's overall environmental impact, estimated to be around 40%, is attributed to the frontend, which is the segment created by designers (Frick, 2016).
Benchmarking
To understand why those websites have low carbon footprint per user visit from the design perspective.

Interviews with the webmaster of Eurocontrol were conducted to understand the fragilites of the website.

After the gathered data a wireframe was sketched considering the visual dimension and context of Eurocontrol.

Outcome
Result: The carbon footprint of the Eurocontrol website per user visit was reduced four times after the redesign proposals. Proving that with good user experience a designer can contribute to the reduction of energy use, being good not only for the user but for the planet as well.

Pilario
2023
Pilario is start-up that provides a software aimed to help companies assess the sustainability impact of their products.
Goal: Pilario contacted Namahn with the need to identify fragilities and improve the software design.
My role: Interviews; Creation of personas; User journey building; Site map

Benchmarking
Other LCA (life cycle assessment) tools, benchmarking gave an understanding of the diferences between pilario and other LCA softwares.

Interviews and Personas
User journey
Drawn from the perspective of user goals and actions, supplier actions, touchpoints and supporting processes of Pilario, considering all the roles over time.
To get a deeper understanding of the software usage, interviews with three users were conducted, each from of them from a different company. Based on each interview a persona was created.
Site map
The site-map visualization provided a detailed view of the software interactions, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.
Result: This project underscored the significance of employing tools and engaging in co-creation during the workshops. Notably, the outcomes from the work are currently being applied by Pilario.
Tejo
2023
Tejo offers low-threshold, therapeutic counselling in Flanders to young people, short-term, immediate, anonymous, and free of charge. Services are provided by professional therapists on a voluntary basis.
Goal: TEJO wanted guidance with getting their many ideas towards a concrete short-term service-concept.
My role: Observe the methodology; participate in meetings with the team; preparation of the workshops; formulate the outcomes

Background info
The picture conveys that in the Flemish region of Belgium, there are 19 Tejo houses and 2,127 young service users. Tejo has 650 volunteers working on a weekly basis for the mental wellbeing of young people.
Product Service Promise
Selected as the initial step because it forms the basis for comprehending the service goals, establishing what Tejo aims to accomplish.
Outcomes - poster
The poster would remind Tejo about its values, vision and mission as well as its main short term and long term goals along with a visualization that summarises the relation of Tejo to interconnected domains: product, service and partners.

Outcomes - customer journey
Centres its attention on the young person, all the actions that it would take across the timeline and the other actors involved during the process.
Result: Our intervention made Tejo’s ideas concrete, moving them from a vague “dreaming” phase to a tangible “conceptual” phase, helping Tejo come to a common understanding after the years of discussion.

2022
Suominen manufactures nonwovens as roll goods for wipes and other applications.
Goal: As a result of the collaboration between Suominen and AALTO University students a book was designed. The goal of the book is to collect and visually translate the project of each student of the course.
My role: design, choice of photos, layout
